The world of soccer betting continues to grow in China despite heavy crackdown from the authorities.

More and more people are getting involved in this growing business and police is finding it hard to cope with the situation.

Last week itself hundreds of illegals bookmarkers have been arrested by the Chinese police, but the situation continues to become worst. This is mainly due to the fact that betting is illegal in China and betting companies are trying hard to make money.

As a result, there are giving money to people to recruit new gamblers, and this is giving rise to more and more illegal bookmakers. A Chinese police spokesperson said that the situation is very difficult to control at the moment. For every illegal bookmaker that you arrest, there is ten more that just pop up around the country.

Some people have called the Chinese authorities to legalize bookmaking as they field that this will be easier to control by the police. Many neighboring countries such as Vietnam has done this, and this has allowed the police to control the situation better.

The problem at the moment in China is that the illegal bookmakers are making use of new technology to escape the police surveillance. In the past, many bets were placed in physical stores which were easier to control by the police, but nowadays the gamblers make use of new technology such as messaging service and online money transfer services to escape from the radar of the authorities.

But the police said that they are investing in new technology and also working more closely with the service providers of online messaging services as well as money transfer to make sure that illegal bookmakers are not using those services to improve their business in China.
